Green Bay Orchestra
Rebecca P.
Violin & Viola
Offering in-person instruction

I'm Rebecca, and much of my life has been spent in the metro Detroit area, where I pursued my passion for music. I obtained a B.A. in Music from the University of Michigan, and my musical journey led me to play the viola with the Grosse Pointe Symphony and sing with the Detroit Symphony Chorale & Chorus and other professional choir
Here in Wisconsin, I've had the privilege of playing with various orchestras and ensembles, including the Weidner Philharmonic, Sheboygan Symphony, Waupaca Area Orchestra, Green Bay Civic Symphony, and the KlezKats klezmer band. I also have a string/keyboard ensemble for special events, At Your Service.
When it comes to teaching, I believe in helping my students discover the patterns and natural flow of music. My diverse experience in voice, strings, and piano allows me to create a personalized and one-of-a-kind learning experience for each student. I draw from different traditions and pedagogical methods, always ensuring that the lessons align with the student's individual goals and interests. To assist me in keeping me up to date on different approaches, I hold memberships in the American String Teachers Association and the NEW Piano Teacher Forum.
When I'm not making music, you can find me spending time with animals, running a mystery-only book club, and a fiber art club. So much yarn, so little time….
I'm excited to share my passion for music with you and embark on a musical journey that will be both enriching and enjoyable. Let's create beautiful music together and explore the wonders of the musical world!
