Lauren holds a Bachelor of Music from Illinois Wesleyan University and a Master of Music from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She has also performed a multitude of recitals over the years with a mixture of opera, operetta, art song, musical theater and jazz repertoire. Lauren has worked for a children's operetta and believes that there is nothing greater than exposing children to classical music. A private teacher for 10+ years, Lauren's philosophy is that everyone can sing if they aren't afraid to put themselves out there and have fun; the voice was made to be used! Her main objective is to build a strong technical background that will provide a base for students' growing voices through classical vocal studies, but students will be encouraged to bring in music that interests them. The voice is unique to each individual and Lauren ensures each student has fun while learning to use that uniqueness to inspire and be inspired.
