Description
Based on the scale and design of the classic '62' models, Custom Z saxes have bodies that are made of a special brass alloy for lighter weight, a great playing 'feel', and the kind of tonal flexibility you've always dreamed of. The Z plays evenly in all ranges, and gives the player a huge dynamic range for as much - or as little - sound as you want. The Custom Z saxes have unparalleled tonal flexibility for confident performance in all styles of music, and there's no need to sacrifice comfort for sound. YSS-82Z is available with a straight neck.
FEATURES
One-piece Neck
The one-piece neck without any joints between the body and the neck provides a free and even response. YSS-82Z is available with a straight neck, while YSS-82ZR has a curved neck.
Fixed Straight Neck
The fixed, straight neck on the YSS-82Z provides and even response and a direct tonal quality.
High F# key
The added key allows for more alternate fingerings and a true high F#
Adjustable thumb-rest
All Yamaha saxophones feature an adjustable thumb-rest to allow for precise and comfortable hand and fingering position.
Ergonomic Key Design
The keys of the YSS-82Z are designed to provide a natural a ergonomic hand position.
Hand Engraved Bell
Hand engraving adds beauty and style.
Z Style Case
The 82Z saxophones come in slim, lightweight cases which provide excellent protection. A convenient shoulder strap is also included.
Lower vent tube
The lower vent tubing design reduces noise on lower vent key action.
